Another great meeting. Another great discussion! We all enjoyed Moalem's writing style, found it thought provoking and informative. The case histories enhanced our understanding of what, at times, was challenging for those of us in our group who have non-medical backgrounds. |

Interesting but we found the style a bit cyclical and arduous. Most people found it didn't draw them in, and so didn't get very far with it. Nevertheless, the author was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about his topic. |

Several of our members found this book too challenging, but those that read it (the majority of the group) rated it very highly. 4 people gave it a 5. Those who read the whole book found it most interesting. Some chose to read only parts of the book as it wasn't "their cup of tea". We had an interesting discussion on various topics members could identify with. |

Fascinating book which produced one of the best (and lengthiest) discussions we have ever had over a book. We'd like to promote it as one of our must-reads of 2017.The style helped enormously. It was down to earth and made a complex subject easy to understand. It was also uniquely personal for a scientific book. |

Everyone enjoyed this book and it seems that all had an interest in genetics. 2 members have ordered a copy for their families, and others expressed a desire to do the same. We found the ancestral, medical and ethical situations very thought-provoking. |

90% of our group finished and enjoyed reading this book and we had one of the most interesting and far-ranging discussions ever. Everyone participated including the member who didn't finish it - and the evening was a very lively one. Epigenetics is a most interesting branch of genetics and no-one was aware of its significance in family dynamics. The discussion booklet was excellent as were the questions. We would recommend it. |

'Inheritance' is a well written book which explained the complexities of epigenetics in a clear and interesting way. Our book group thought that this is one that we would definitely recommend to other groups. |
