A minority of our group read this. Those of us who did, enjoyed the stories and some of them were worth a second read. People enjoyed that some of the characters and settings overlapped.

Some found it a little weird and confusing. Some LOVED it, and agreed with the glowing reviews posted at the front of the book. All would read more by this author.

Several loved this book. Easy to read short stories which were very insightful.

This would be one book that very few of us completed. Funny, as some didn't realise till the 3rd story that they were short stories not linked! One of our members summed it up as 'Honeydew'.....a unique & warm approach to writing about the predicaments of being human...stories that deserve our undivided attention.

Our final opinion was that it was very good. To begin with there was confusion with some stories. One member felt the author was dictating her own opinion. Another thought that all the stories were amazing.

Mixed feelings about 'Honeydew'. She is an excellent writer, but the group found themselves enjoying some stories while not being able to engage with others.

The 'Honeydew' short stories drew a mixed reaction from our group. However as discussion flowed, even those who said they didn't like the more macabre or darker stories, appreciated many of the characters in the other stories as well as the great writing, so overall the book got a tick from the group.
