It's safe to say that our group didn't care for this book, it wasn't a genre or writing style that appealed. Most of us persevered to the end but some didnt get that far. Initially, we were put off by the subject matter but the storyline and characters did draw the reader in. One of us listened to it via audiobook and quite liked that medium. We agreed that the sound track would be worth a listen. The discussion questions were far too erdudite/intellectual for us (they felt like English Lit exam questions) so we ditched those and had a lovely evening chatting about loads of other things!
