Remember the mystery of crop circles? Well, look no further ... the unexpected antics of Calvert, a Falklands War veteran and Redbone, a punk musician, offer a possible explanation.
Set in the long, hot summer of 1989, this is the tale of two unlikely friends hellbent on creating beauty in Wiltshire fields.
From the camaraderie of eccentric outsiders, to the wonders of the English countryside, this is a compelling story of the quest for the perfect golden circle, the challenge of keeping one's demons at bay, and the joys of guerrilla art.

Generally disappointed with book, having read and enjoyed 'The Offing'. More detailed explanations of the actual process of making crop circles would have interested our group. The news reporting on each circle was enjoyed. |

Intriguing and evocative, a lovely deep dive into the English countryside. Some felt it was overwritten in parts, while others enjoyed this part of Myers' style. Quirky characters made up for a lack of plot for most of our group. We felt that illustrations or diagrams of the crop circles would have helped. |

We felt a diagram of each crop circle would have been useful. We enjoyed the book and the characters. |
