A surprising choice! But the book did spark an interesting discussion.

Two members loved this book, the rest did not enjoy it. Overall we were surprised that society was so accepting of his hedonistic lifestyle and blatant use of women. We had no sympathy for any of them as it was their dream and ambition to be part of the Playboy Mansion. Misogyny is still rampant and women's equality still has a way to go. Made for a boisterous discussion in the best of ways.

While every member finished the book, we were all pretty disappointed. It had the potential to be an interesting read but the storytelling method was quite disjointed and felt rushed, like large parts of the timeline were missing or underplayed. While we understand it is written from Crystal's point of view, it felt like she was contradicting herself frequently and as such no one had particularly positive feedback.
