Description:
|
Born prematurely with cerebral palsy in 1999, Australian Hannah Diviney has always known what it is like to be regarded as different. But rather than letting the world tell her how and who she should be, Hannah, an actor, writer and disability advocate is crafting her future with gusto. Confronting, inspiring and intensely readable, this is a thought-provoking and informative memoir conveying a lived experience of disability.

This is a brave commentary about the difficulties of living with a disability. The general opinion of the group was the author wasn't particularly endearing and the repetitive negativity was hard to deal with until some reader processing occurred. But despite these elements, taking into account Hannah's age/immaturity, the book gave insight into Hannah's life, the hardships she faced and the improvements which happened as her world became more satisfying. All power to her achievement in her life so far, and good luck to a brave young woman. |
