Description:
|
Of course the emotionally challenged Sally Diamond would follow her father's instructions to the nth degree! If he said she was to put him out with the rubbish when he died, then that was exactly what she would do. In the furore that follows her compliance, Sally's world suddenly expands ... including connecting with troubling family in far-off New Zealand. Quirky, creepy and strangely moving, this strongly character-led story wrestles with the argument of nature versus nurture in its unsettling and complex storyline.

Despite the dark subject matter, the consensus was that it was a good read. Interesting with good character development and an easy to consume writing style, meant you kept turning the pages even when parts of the story were awful to read about. |

Very dark disturbing story but quite gripping. Good discussion about inter-generational abuse/behaviour. |
