Overall, our group enjoyed this book about Maria Callas. Members of our group who had not read nonfiction titles about the life of Maria Callas are now keen to read the biographical writing. For those who had previously read some of the authentic titles, this novel was a lighter but nonetheless enjoyable read. A story of a Diva finding her true voice whilst facing adversity and forever looking for lasting reciprocal love. One of our members wrote "I felt like I was reading a script from a drama or opera."

A delightful well-written story, however as it has a historical base a bibliography would have been helpful. The story shows the incredible amount of work ( and in Maria's case, personal sacrifice) that is required  to maintain this status. She had an unfortunate life in terms of trying to find love, and the gossipmongers were the social media of the time.
