Comments from BDS Reviewers:

"The issues raised by the author are matters that should concern us all, and for the most part we are more comfortable with sweeping these things under the carpet and avoiding them".

"What makes 'A House Built on Sand' compelling is how much it lingers after you finish it".

"It's the kind of book that stays with you, leaving you mulling over the characters, thier choices. and the pain of their buried truths. For me , that's the hallmark of a good novel".

" If you're drawn to stories that explore family dynamics, the challenges of memory, and the mysteries of the human heart, then this is one you'll want to discuss with others".

"Dementia is an ever more common illness in our society and this book is an excellent depiction of the experience of both a person developing dementia and their main caregiver".

"I found it a very convincing read".

"The people feel incredibly real and vivid. The portrayals of the different characters , their emotions and behaviours, are excellent".
