Very frank but we felt general concern at the author's obliviousness to controlling his dogs - obedience classes needed.

Excellent writing, as one would expect from Marcus Zusak. A simultaneously affectionate and alarming reflection on the bond between a family and its 'wild dogs'. Most agreed that it was an easy read, though a bit repetitive in places. However, the humour and deeply moving parts of the book kept us engaged. It certainly generated a lot of discussion about our own experiences with dogs; lots of laughs followed.
