Description: Daughter. Prisoner. Survivor. Warrior. Nobody's Girl... This is Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s last word. In 2011, Virginia hit the headlines as Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s most outspoken victim: the woman whose decision to speak out helped send both serial abusers to prison and whose photograph with Prince Andrew catalyzed his fall from grace. But first and foremost she became known as a voice of courage and resilience for women everywhere. This is her story, in her own words. A story that has never been told in full before now. It demonstrates, with extraordinary power, that victims are made, they are not born. And that once you come to truly understand the horrifying impact of abuse, you would never think to question why a victim stays, or returns over and over again. In April 2025, Giuffre took her own life. She left behind a memoir written in the years preceding her death and stated unequivocally that she wanted it published. This is the powerful story of an ordinary girl who would grow up to confront adversity and trauma of the darkest form, yet found the strength to move forwards, reclaim her voice and shine light on evil - advocating for others and fighting for a safer, fairer world. Nobody’s Girl is a remarkable recounting of one woman's fortitude in the face of depravity and despair and the legacy she leaves behind. PenguinRandomHouse. Taken from book blurb

Comments from BDS Reviewers:

A very detailed account of years of abuse in a case that has been covered in the media - but usually in a sensationalised manner. This provides a deeper background which was good to read and understand.

The writing style makes it a very easy read - but the content is far from it.

The book provides a timely warning about powerful and unscrupulous people, and that it is still possible to stand up to them.

A raw account that exposes the human cost behind a global scandal, and chronicles one woman's attempt to turn trauma into testimony.

Nobody's Girl is powerful not because it is 'pleasant' to read, but because it is honest. Giuffre tells her story with remarkable clarity and without self-pity; offering a first hand account of how grooming and exploitation actually unfold.

This book is memorable for different reasons, but mostly for the insight into a world of male-only elite clubs, and the insulation of the wealthy.

A book that should be read by all as it is a look at a stratum of society that controls and silences dissent.
