This was read and enjoyed by all but one of our group. We agreed that the ideal demographic was younger than us, but nevertheless it stimulated an interesting discussion about 'outsiders' (real or perceived), immigration, refugees and acculturation. |

Many of us thought this was a little unrealistic, and many of us thought it was going to be an autobiography and were disappointed that it was more like a teen romance. Some good points about discrimination were raised however. We actually enjoyed the intercalary part of the story the most, and would have liked more detail there. |
